Moving The Fish Tank To A New Home

When it comes to moving I think I am safe in saying that you are going to be going through a fair amount of stress already without worrying about what to do with the fish tank. Well although this may be something right at the back of your mind it is something you need to be thinking about because moving something like this is not a simple thing to do and it will certainly take you some serious thinking to get it done!

So here are the steps you are going to need to take to get it done.

One of the first things you are going to want to do (or not do in this case) is actually not to feed the fish for around 24 hours before you move and do not worry this is not going to do any damage to your fish and even 48 hours would be better if you can manage it. this is done so you can stop waste in the transport container.

One of the next things to look into is fish bags or not?? Well I would say it all depends on what kind of tank you actually have. If you have goldfish then you should be fine to go with the bag but if perhaps you are looking at a tropical fish tank or marine aquarium then you need to be looking at buckets more than anything else as you can put more water in there and the water will stay at the right temperature for longer which is really what you need! Only fill whatever you choose around the third as this leaves a good gap for ait above the water. Water is only able to hold a certain amount of oxygen so the gap is needed.

if you are doing all of this then all it takes is to empty the tank and put it together again!
