The art of scrapbooking dates as far back as to the sixteenth century and has become increasingly popular in recent years. Scrapbooking can be defined as the act of someone gathering different types or memorabilia, including, photos, notes, letters, poems and even trinkets and then compiling these objects in the form of a scrapbook. There are several reasons why scrapbooking is so popular. Firstly, it serves as a pleasant reminder of past good times and then it’s also an entertaining and relaxing hobby. Finally, it is quite affordable making it accessible to just about anybody.

Scrapbooks can be either generalised around ones happy memories, or more focalised to represent a specific theme or occasion. Some of the more popular themes include Halloween, Christmas, Birthdays, Graduation, Weddings, Christenings and Easter. Not only do scrapbooks serve as wonderful nostalgic memoirs, but they are also often made as gifts, which gives an extra personal touch.

Hence the Quickutz personal die-cutting system was born. Quickutz offers a variety of dies, however, unlike Spellbinders if you want to cut, emboss, and stencil you might find yourself purchasing multiple dies. Most Quickutz die-cuts do not offer a triple function, but if you will be doing projects where you will only be cutting, then Quickutz dies are the most affordable dies on the market. Also if you are a collector and like new dies they are a die-cutting company that release new dies every month.

The second idea are keepsake books for the prom. Whether it be for yourself or son and daughter, prom is a special time for all and is somewhat of a passage into adulthood for us Americans. We all look back fondly on our own prom night and think about how exciting it was. A journal or album with pictures of yourself, your date and the friends you made will give you something that will always be special for the rest of your life. Have your friends write down their well wishes and ask them to write down a special moment the two of you shared.
