Is Focusing On A Niche You Are Passionate About A Must?

Is Focusing on A Niche You are Passionate About A Must? The answer is “Absolutely no”.. The truth is, doing this could create “blind spots”, because we can be so excited about our product or subject, we become victim to assumptions regarding our market that cause us to neglect to observe key road blocks to success – such as they are not really our market! Seriously!

Find your niche market – A better approach is to choose a niche that interests you. One you think you would enjoy serving for years. You don’t necessarily have to be an expert yet … because if you follow all the most proven effective steps in niche research, you’ll end up becoming one before you realize it, all quite naturally.

Niche Marketing – The thing you need is to develop the ability and skill to identify holes – and fill them. And that’s a transportable skill that will serve you well in any niche market, over and over again.

The flip side to this? You may be actually interested in a topic but unexpectedly realize that the idea of creating and selling products related to it make your stomach mysteriously go “thud”. When it comes time for you to do anything with the idea, you may find yourself balking and procrastinating. Do yourself a really big favor, and listen to that “thud”. It’s an indicator you’re done with that subject, or that there’s something about it that simply doesn’t work for you – something that’s wrong.

Ask yourself – Could it be fear – or do I really not want to do this?

If it’s fear, that can be overcome. Learning proper niche finding and development skills is the perfect way to attain that objective and enable you to step out confidently.

But if you really don’t wish to work in that particular niche, it’s better that you know now.
