When it comes to teaching children things about other countries it is safe to say that we simply do not do enough of it. Now this may be down to laziness but I think the real reason people just do not do it is because they do not know how too. Here are some of the ways you can help your kids to learn this kind of thing.
Theme Park
Yes, believe it or not, there is a theme park that teaches about culture? The theme park in question is located in Disney World, Orlando and is called EPCOT . The World Showcase is of course what I am talking about here and this can be found at the back of the park, past most of the rides and things like this.
This part of the park is split into several countries and in each country you can kind of learn something about the culture of the place and how people either used to live or live nowadays. Disney do this thing very well indeed as they make it easy to understand for kids but interesting enough to keep the adults interested.
Vacation
Okay so going on one of those Mexico holidays might not be the cheapest of ways to help children to learn but holidaysare arguably the best way of doing things because you get to see the culture yourself. The kids of course will enjoy this type of thing.
Books
One of the cheaper ways to do things is to get a lot of books for your child and to sit down with them and talk it through. It may be original but it does the job and it does the job well.
In the end it is up to you when it comes to things like this Dubai holidays could be the way forward but then so could a book.
